1- Very large Computers at NIC Head Quarters New Delhi.
2- Super-mini computers at State capitals for providing information service to the states.
3- Mother Earth Station (MES) at NIC Hq., New Delhi and a Micro Earth Station at each of NIC State Unit and District Unit for exchange of information via satellite (INTELSAT).

Each NIC District Centre has facilities to process information for monitoring socio-economic developemental activities within the district. Each NIC Dist. Unit have communication link with the State Informatics Centre for flow of information between the states and the districts .
The network has high reliability and is available to the district administration all the time for efficient information flow .

The Center for Advanced Information Technology plays a vital role in administration, planning, and management of information systems and applications at the whole campus. Related topics on information technology are intensively studied and effective supports for research and education using information systems are investigated and proposed by this center. The Center consists of three research sections and a system management section.The research sections (Large-scaled informations systems, Multimedia systems, and Educational information systems) study state-of-the-art information technology such as WWW retrieval methods based on image knowledge, active web-camera security systems, visualization of dynamical systems using computer cluster system, and applied educational systems with e-learning systems.The system management section provides stable and safe campus network infrastructures. Maintenance of computers for education and research, monitoring and control of network traffic, and operation of various network services are continuously provided.
